SVQ REQUIREMENTS

SVQ Comments:
Apprentices must achieve one SVQ at level 3 or 4.
Note: Only one reference number is listed for each SVQ above. Employers may use the
equivalent S/NVQs from other awarding bodies - check with MA Contact.
CORE SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Core Skill Level Compulsory separate certification
Communication Intermediate 2 no
Numeracy Intermediate 1 no
Information technology Intermediate 1 no
Problem solving Intermediate 1 no
Working with others Intermediate 1 no
Core skill notes:
The core skills certification requirements above apply only to G7LP23 and G7LR24
For G7LV23, G7LT24 and G6N624 numeracy and IT must be separately certificated.
OTHER MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
These certification requirements for G7LP23, G7LR24, G7LV23 and G7LT24 are
temporary, pending the completion of a mapping of the core skills against these four
SVQs.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must demonstrate the potential to achieve an SVQ at level 3. It is unlikely that
employers will recruit applicants aged under 18 at the start of the apprenticeship.
